All Things Bright & Beautiful
For the longest time, I wished I was one of those people that had a “cool” style. By cool, I mean super sleek, with very few ruffles or frills, and a monochrome palette. However, that is just super far from how I like to express myself through clothing. In fact, let’s just be happy I have gotten through my “magpie” phase. There was a time no sequinned garment could pass me by and I wasn’t happy if I wasn’t shining (I need to find pictures from my 21st birthday).
Anyway, my yoruba self has since stopped lusting over style that is not my own, and embraces my love of colour fully! At least I won’t get lost in a crowd eyy!
In other news, I’m trying not to focus too much on it but my quarantine weight has been … well, something. It’s dictated a number of my outfit choices, and so there have been a number of boubous & kaftans making grand appearances in my wardrobe. However, part of my 2020 resolutions included a deliberate attempt to make sure that my wardrobe made me happy, I’ve been deliberate in choosing loose clothing that is flattering in cut and colour.
