Let’s Step Into 2021, Shall We?

Happy New Year and welcome to 2021!

It has been an age, hasn’t it? Well, that’s a bit of an exaggeration but after attempting to blog every day for a month and crashing after 20-odd days, it feels like it has been ages. First of all, let me apologise for that. The last few days have been pretty hectic and I, unfortunately, didn’t plan well enough to finish what I started, which really has me disappointed in myself, but also gives me the amazing opportunity to try again!

I’ve always been a sucker for “new beginnings”. For me it’s not “just another day”, but an opportunity to start again and get things right. New Years, new months, new weeks, birthdays; I love them all! Anyway, as we start the new year, I want to talk about things I’m looking forward to in 2021, hoping that this will keep me excited, focused, and accountable.

  1. Travelling more –  Yes, the Corona Virus is still waging war on humankind, and we didn’t really get the opportunity to go anywhere, but I really don’t want to be in one place this entire year. I mean, I love Lagos (I’m coming to think that might also be a severe case of Stockholm syndrome).
  2. Being kinder – It really costs nothing, and considering how cruel life can be, I think it’s the least we can do for each other. Saying a kind word and making kind gestures is really not a big deal!
  3. Creating a ridiculous amount of content – I tend to overthink any and everything, and while that makes me feel “extra prepared”, and allows me to talk about “strategy” but it really just stifles me and means I’m learning less because I am not making enough mistakes.
  4. Make more money – I have a long list of planned expenditures, and I imagine the money must come from somewhere, and for some reason, I am extremely excited to figure that out.
  5. Building a really vibrant Happy Noisemaker community – You guys are awesome, and what we have started together is a lot of fun and excitement! I can guarantee you that there will be so much fun content for you to consume, and lots of gifts to win (at least once a month)!

As you can see, I really have myself excited about this year, and why not? 2020 took a lot from so many people, I think we would all be doing ourselves a bit of a disservice if we relinquished our capacity to hope, and dream! Please try and see this new beginning as just that, and make bold, beautiful plans!

To round this up, I have two questions,

  1. What are you looking forward to this year?
  2. What would you like to see on Happy Noisemaker in 2020?

I'm looking forward to going back to school in 2021 and getting a steady income. I also plan to start a blog this year and I'm looking forward to it. I'll like to see more blog posts on Happy noisemaker, especially the funny ones and a lot more fashion content. I love clothes too. I can't wait.

For this new year, I'm excited to see how much joy and happiness I will experience, I'm excited to make new friends and connections and meet new people, I'm excited to make money and I'm hoping I'm able to get my first actual job this year, I'm excited to finally achieve my fitness goals, I'm excited to grow in my spirituality, I'm excited to possibly start a blog, I'm excited to possibly make a decision about my degree(s), I'm excited to just grow and develop overall and maybe even experience love. In all, I'm excited for all the good that will come throughout this year for me and my loved ones and their loved ones. For Happy Noisemaker, I'm excited to see more amazing content as well as growth, and I'm also excited that you're excited lol, and I hope it's a great year for all of us.

Happy new year Jola! I'm a member of the new year, new me club and this year I've decided to be more intentional with my personal growth. Also I will like to explore my potential/creativity this year and see what works for me. As for Happy Noisemaker I'm really excited about Cash madam collective! I'm also excited about the blog in general . I hope you're able to cover the items on your list and also have fun doing them!

Happy New Year Jola❤️ I missed you so much🥺. I'm looking forward to resuming back to school this year because it's really hard when an important part of your life is on hold and there seems to be nothing you can do about it. Then I look forward to making more memories with my friends and become a better friend. I look forward to getting a "Laptop" (I have no idea where it will come from because I don't have the money). I look forward to reading more books. I look forward to more personal growth and probably finally have the courage to start my business. I look forward to seeing you as well😂😂 As for Happy Noisemaker, I look forward to everything about the blog❤️

Happy New Year Jollz, I'm really looking forward to the FG and ASUU fixing up so I can go back to school and continue with my education (as I have tasted freedom and I don't know that I'm ready to go to the prison that is a Nigerian private university). I'm also looking forward to being around my friends again and hoping to spoil all of them silly however way I can. I managed to improve on my designing and writing skills during this extremely long holiday, so I'm looking forward to being somewhat consistent (as consistency is not my strong suit at allll). Also, I want to be better at reading, I used to read a lot before, but I stopped for a while and I've been trying really hard to get back to it. For the blog, I'd love to see more of your opinions on many random topics and on fashion too. I hope you have a lovely month and year altogether!!!

Happy New Year To you too. I'm really looking forward to all the engaging content you'll be putting out this year - 2020 was the beginning, 2021 will be a year of more elevation and revelation for you. In this new year, I'm pushing myself beyond my comfort zone and exploring new territory in terms of my career. I hope to also love more and freely any chance I get.

This new year, I'm looking forward to exploring my interests outside of school, making new friends and not putting any pressure on myself, so i don't anxious too often. For happy noisemaker, I'm excited for new book recommendations and amazing discussions, so that i won't hate reading anymore lol and I can actually develop a healthy reading habit.
